
With less than a week to go before the Isle of Man goes smoke free, those in charge of implementing the legislation say everything is in place.
The ban on smoking in enclosed places will officially come into force on Sunday.
The regulations will be enforced by Environmental Health Officers from the Department of the Environment and those who do not comply face a fine of up to £5,000.
There have been concerns about the effect the new law will have on businesses, but speaking on Talking Heads today (Tuesday), Chairman of the Manx Hospitality Partnership Theo Fleurrbaay said he believed there should be no cause for concern (audio file attached):
