
Unions say they’re considering their next move after all the government’s hundred bus drivers were given their notice yesterday.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure made the move after failing to reach agreement over paid lunch breaks it wants to take off drivers to save £300,000 a year.
The drivers will have to reapply for their jobs under new terms and conditions and the department says it has contingency plans to keep services running.
