Unemployment in the Isle of Man increased by 60 in December but ended the year down on the same month in 2009.
The figure of 795, consisting of 563 men and 232 women, was 83 fewer than at the end of the previous year and represented an unemployment rate of 1.9 per cent.
Last month 216 people signed on and 156 signed off the register.
During December, 279 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre, and by the the end of December 142 positions were still held on file.
