Both events being held alongside each other
Two major endurance races are being held alongside one another across the Isle of Man today (27 June).
The inaugural UltraMann challenge and the 2026 edition of Race The Sun are in association with Hospice Isle of Man.
The UltraMann challenge started at 7am and will see participants take on a 50-mile course starting on the Heritage Trail between Union Mills and Glen Lough campsite and finishing on North Quay in Douglas.
Race The Sun involves teams of up to 10 navigating a 10-leg relay on a grueling 90-mile route around the Raad ny Foillan coastal path which must be completed between sunrise at 4.47am and sunset at 9.55pm.
That event will also finish on North Quay in Douglas which will be closed to vehicles.
