Shaun Pinner to speak as fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion is marked
A frontline volunteer from the war in Ukraine is visiting the Isle of Man this week, as the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion is marked.
Shaun Pinner, an ambassador for the Manx charity Prevail Together, supports Ukrainian government agencies with humanitarian assistance.
The charity was founded by Manx resident Chris Garrett, who was killed in action last year.
Mr Pinner will speak about fighting in Ukraine, including his capture by Russian forces, where he says he was tortured and forced to record propaganda videos:
Mr Pinner will be speaking at Ballakermeen High School on Friday evening (27 February). You can find out more information HERE.
