The national parliament has paid formal tribute to one of its own - former Ramsey MHK Charles Cain, who died last month.
Tynwald President Clare Christian spoke of his wide-ranging interests in politics and business, his contribution to Manx culture and the social life in the Island.
Charles Cain, an MHK for five years during the 1980s, also served on Ramsey commissioners. He died at the age of 77.
Tribute has already been paid in the House of Keys, but Madam President said it was appropriate for Tynwald to do the same.
She invited the court to observe a short silence at the start of today's sitting, after reflecting on a life well lived:
