
Three sports teams in Douglas could be in for a boost, as Tynwald considers building new pitches for them to use.
At this week’s sitting, Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle will ask the court’s approval to spend almost £1.9 million on the facilities at Ballafletcher in Braddan.
Corinthians, Douglas Royal and Vagabonds would all use the new pitches if they were approved, and all three have been working on the plans for some years.
