Douglas Central MHK's motion supported
Tynwald has backed proposals to move government's ownership of the meat plant from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture to Treasury.
The court voted in favour of the move following a lengthy and heated debate on the operation of the facility.
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas moved an amendment, which asked for equity to be transferred and called for the Council of Ministers to develop a policy on government ownership by November this year.
