Amendment takes away requirement for CM to write to Westminster
An MHK says it's good that Tynwald has agreed to reaffirm its support for all international obligations relating to war crimes.
However, Joney Faragher says there's a 'huge missed opportunity' after an amendment took away the requirement for the chief minister to write to the UK Government to convey the view of the Manx court on such matters.
Ms Faragher's original motion originally specified that such support should not be given to any state currently engaging in, or under formal international investigation for, violations such as war crimes or crimes against humanity.

Another suggestion was for the President of Tynwald to write to Westminster instead, but that also failed.
