Would offer justice to individuals says MHK
A Tynwald Commissioner for Administration could be appointed by the end of the year.
The post would be held by a fully independent, non governmental official who would resolve complaints about the delivery of public services
Today (Thursday), Tynwald supported a series of recommendations from its Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee which was specifically investigating how complaints against local authorities should be addressed.
Moving the motion this morning, Onchan MHK David Quirk said appointing a commissioner would offer justice to individuals who could not afford to lodge expensive petitions of doleance.
