Duo accused of possessing 16 grams of the drug
Two men have appeared in court accused of intending to supply heroin.
Nineteen year-old Andrew Bardsley, from St Helens in Merseyside, and 18 year-old George Underwood, of no fixed abode, are accused of possessing 16 grams of the Class A drug in the Island earlier this month.
The pair, who are currently remanded in custody, are also alleged to have had a small quantity of cannabis.
Advocates explained their trial can only proceed once the substances have been scientifically tested - but as one sample contained traces of 'fecal matter', it is being treated as a biological hazard requiring further analysis.
Both will next appear in court on 19 September.
