Peel lifeboat was called out after a yacht got into difficulties on passage from Ramsey to the western town yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
The propellor had become fouled, and the vessel was unable to make headway in the strong wind.
Ruby Clery was launched shortly before 2pm, and the yacht was found near Ballaugh and taken in tow back to Peel.
The lifeboat was also launched on Thursday afternoon, to assist a small 'day boat', which had broken down 1.5 miles off Peel.
The call went out when a member of the public saw a flare go off.
The Peel registered vessel was soon found, and the lifeboat towed the 'day boat' and its two occupants back to the town.
