A dedicated twitter account has been launched, to track the progress of the Douglas promenade regeneration scheme.

Preparatory or 'enabling' works are already underway, with Auldyn Construction in the early contractors involvement stage with the Department of Infrastructure.

The Department 'hopes' work on the scheme will begin in full after Christmas, with the cost estimated at around £25million but yet to be finalised.

In the meantime though, updates will posted on the twitter handle @mypromisleofman
