Means testing needed, says Colonel Wilson
Government's move to stop paying for TV licences for the over 75s, apart from those on income support, was "a silly decision".
That's the view of Colonel Charles Wilson of the Royal British Legion who met with Treasury Minister Eddie Teare last week.
Speaking on Sunday Opinion, Colonel Wilson says having a financial cut-off for the benefit doesn't work.
He says what's needed is some form of means testing.
