TT 2017 security in place

News follows Manchester Arena attack

A major incident plan is in place for TT 2017 - as is always the case.

But while police are urging residents to be vigilant, they’re offering some reassurance as security is heightened following the Manchester terrorist attack.

Twenty-two people were killed in Monday night’s tragedy and the number of those injured has now risen to 64.

A number of extra measures are in place locally and Inspector Gavin Callow says the force routinely carries out security assessments.
