Douglas Coastguard rescue team and harbour security officers were called out earlier this afternoon after three people went missing from off the breakwater.
They had been spotted on the large rock stabits by a member of the coastguard earlier this afternoon, but had then lost sight of the group.
It wasn't known if the group had made it safely ashore so a search of the rocks was launched.
A boat was also used to carry out a search from the sea.
The group were discovered still on the stabits at around 4.30pm.
They were unharmed, and after being taken to safety were spoken to by security officers and members of the coastguard.
