Gordon Astill passed away over the weekend at Noble's Hospital
Gordon Astill, who passed away at Noble’s Hospital over the weekend, was the musical director of Onchan Silver Band for nearly half a century, long-standing organist at St Peter’s Church and a former Onchan commissioner.
But it was with the band where he encouraged generations of young people to become involved in music.
