
Tribute has been paid to two servicemen, both with strong Manx connections, who recently lost their lives.
Corporal Michael Gilyeat, whose mother and grandparents live in the Island, served with the Royal Military Police.
He was killed in Afghanistan on May the 30th.
Manx born soldier, Kingsman Adam Smith, who served with the newly formed Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment and whose father Derek lives here, was killed in Basra on April the fifth.
