35-year-old denies five offences
A Douglas woman who’s accused of claiming more than £141,000 in benefits she wasn’t entitled to will stand trial.
Haley Higginbotham, of Urley Path, denied five offences of benefit fraud during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 35-year-old has been accused of failing to inform Treasury of a change in her circumstances and four offences of making false representations to obtain benefits.
The charges date between May 2013 and October 2022.
Committal proceedings, where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery, will take place on 9 May; she’s been bailed until that date.
