48-year-old denies pulling knife on another man
A Peel man will stand trial after denying pulling a knife on another man in an ‘unprovoked attack’.
John Blanchard, of Station Place, entered a not guilty plea to an offence of affray during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 48-year-old allegedly made comments of a threatening nature, during the incident on 27 September, before lunging towards the man with the kitchen blade.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 6 February; bail continues.
Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 6 February committal proceedings were completed. Mr Blanchard will next appear there on a date to be set.
