Tree planting a way to tackle carbon emissions now

Chief Minister keen to take action straight away

Planting a tree for every Manx resident is something the Government can do now to tackle climate change.

That's according to Chief Minister Howard Quayle following the announcement that 85,000 trees will be planted over the next five years in a bid to offset carbon emissions.

The initiative will see the creation of a new forest, as well as more trees being planted in urban areas.
