Review being carried out
Treasury needs to improve its communication with the public.
That's according to Minister Alf Cannan after Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper asked for a full spending review to ensure future budgets are based on clear and realistic spending requirements.
In his reply in Keys this morning (Tues), Mr Cannan said the new Treasury team is carrying out a high level review in all areas of government income and expenditure ahead of the next budget.
He added that whilst it's not financially viable to review everything at once, there are areas which clearly needed improving:
Campaigners react to delays to Assisted Dying Bill
Hospital main entrance remains closed following vehicle fire
Report calls for public to be more involved in Budget process
Assisted dying, a police station and A+E waiting times under the spotlight in Tynwald
