Tramlines excavated in next stage of Douglas prom scheme

20mph speed limit in operation in working area

The tramlines in Douglas are to be excavated in the next stage of works.

The Douglas Promenade Refurbishment Scheme is digging up the new tramline corridor.

It includes removing the existing lines and preparing the area for the new tramway lines.

There will be space for single traffic either side of the area, with a 20mph speed limit along the working area.

Summerhill is also to re-open by the end of today (Dec 21).
