Call for work to start without delay
A form of compromise - but a good one.
That's how MHK Chris Robertshaw has described his amendment to plans for Douglas promenade.
The trams will now run the entire length of the promenade - but with just a single line from the war memorial to the Sea Terminal.
Mr Robertshaw's amendment was supported in Tynwald yesterday by 17 votes to 14 in a combined vote.
