The Isle of Man branch of St John Ambulance has a new training facility, thanks to a donation from the Manx Lottery Trust.
The facility was officially opened by former St John commander on the Island Robin Oake, who is now an international figurehead for the organisation.
St John Ambulance has around 150 adult volunteers in the Isle of Man, and a similar number of youth members in the cadets and badgers.
Chairman of the Council of St John Ambulance over here Roger Berry says the new facilities were vital to sustain operations:
Faulty device believed to have triggered multi-agency search effort
Payroll firm reprimanded after thousands of personal records discovered in abandoned shredding bins
Finish line in sight for Atlantic rowers
Further delays to Manxman sailings following weather disruption
