
The director of highways is hopeful traffic issues being caused by the closure of Pulrose Bridge will resolve themselves over the coming days.
Work began on the scheme to strengthen the bridge and widen its corner with Peel Road on Monday.
It's the first phase of the major scheme which will see Peel Road rebuilt, from the Brown Bobby to Quarterbridge.
There have been reports of it taking people 20 minutes to get from Braddan Bridge to Quarterbridge this week.
