Traffic in the south is being monitored

Cameras positioned in key areas

Traffic flows and movements in Ballasalla and Castletown and around the south are currently being monitored.

Cameras, mounted on tall poles, have been positioned in key areas.

An exercise of this type in the area hasn't been carried out for some time.

In view of the update of the Southern Area plan and proposals for a possible bypass around Ballasalla, it's seen as important the data is collected on the current traffic, particularly during rush hours.
