
A section of Ramsey town centre will be closed to traffic from next week.
Bridge Chambers, the former headquarters of the Manx Sailing and Cruising Club and the RNLI, is being demolished and, as a result, the whole of East Street and a section of the quay will be closed while the work is carried out.
The property’s been empty for a number of years.
From Friday (June 22), a temporary road closure will be in force along a section of West Quay, between its junction with East Street and its junction with Christian Street, and on the whole length of East Street.
An alternative route will be via Bowring Road, Waterloo Road and Albert Road.
Parking will be suspended for the duration of the order but access to the swing bridge will be maintained.
