Police have revealed their plans for easing congestion in the area around Knockaloe, when the Royal Manx Agricultural Show is staged at the new venue this Friday and Saturday (August 12 and 13).
The main route to and from the show ground for traffic from the north and east is via Patrick Road in St John's, which should be accessed via Ballacraine and the Hope Crossroads, where diversion signage will be in place.
Motorists approaching from the south are being asked to travel via the Round Table and Dalby, avoiding Foxdale.
Police will be on duty to manage traffic flow on both days, at car park entrances and key junctions, and they hope any delays will be minimal.
Anyone not going to the show on Friday and Saturday is advised, where possible, to avoid the Knockaloe area.
