Trade delegation to seek out Chinese business

The Isle of Man could be the gateway into Europe for Chinese companies, leading to the potential for income generation and job creation here.

That's the belief of Economic Development Minister John Shimmin, who is leading a trade delegation to China next month.

The trip forms part of the Manx government's strategy to further develop and diversify the economy.

Mr Shimmin says the Island could become a hub for Chinese businesses, which could manage their whole European trade network from here.
