
The regeneration of the commercial centre of Douglas will take a lot of time and money, but the borough council is ready to stay the distance and see the project through.
That was the message from council leader David Christian, as he revealed major work on Strand Street would start by next spring, subject to cash from the government's regeneration fund being approved.
