Lifeboat called out to help two visitors
A tourist was injured after slipping while fishing in Douglas, resulting in a callout for the lifeboat.
Two visitors were on the stabits at the back of Douglas Breakwater when heavy rain hit yesterday evening, making the area slippery.
One fell injuring their leg, forcing the pair to call 999 for assistance.
The lifeboat was unable to get close enough, so the crew launched an inflatable dinghy to reach the visitors and bring them to the lifeboat.
The duo were brought to safety before being assessed by waiting paramedics.
