One of the most distinguished British soldiers has been on the Isle of Man helping to raise funds for an armed forces charity.
General Sir John Wilsey was head of the United Kingdom's land forces in the 1990s and oversaw forces in Northern Ireland.
He gave a talk at a local fundraising event for the charity Combat Stress last night (Wednesday).
