The third Isle of Man Festival of Choirs takes place this month and organisers say it has attracted a top class line-up.
The Festival is over the weekend of 19th – 20th October and festival director Geoff Corkish says the Island will be playing host to some of the finest choirs in the country.
Eight choirs from outside the Island are coming for the festival and two local groups of singers will also be competing - the Lon Dhoo Male Voice Choir and Manx Voices.
This year’s adjudicator is the accomplished tenor, conductor and music teacher Robert T. Elliott of Colchester
Around 500 people are expected to attend the event which takes place every two years.
Tickets for the festival are £6 for the full weekend and are available from www.villagaiety.com
