MUA has plans to save £15 million
Plans to improve the Island's sewage treatment facilities are being considered by Tynwald members.
A parliamentary committee investigating the provision of the IRIS scheme heard on Friday how the policy has not been reviewed since 2010.
The Manx Utilities Authority currently has plans to pump sewage to two brand new treatment sites in Peel and Ramsey - at a potential cost saving of £15 million.
A previous bid to develop such a site in Peel was rejected by the Commissioners eight years ago.
The Infrastructure Minister, former commissioner-turned-Peel MHK Ray Harmer, told the committee it's time to get on with plans:
