The businessman behind the Callow's Yard development in Castletown is to stand in a by-election for the local commissioners.
Roy Tilleard, of Glen Road in Colby, will contest the election with Peter John Hill-Heaton of Queen Street in Castletown, and Rosemary Anne Robinson of Arbory Road.
Nominations closed last night (Thursday) for the seat left vacant after former board chairman Richard Ronan announced he was standing down.
Returning officer Colin Leather will consider objections to nominations in writing on Tuesday, April 19 at 2pm in the Civic Centre on Farrant’s Way.
Castletown will go to the polls on Thursday, May 12.
