Down on nine-month delays seen in 2024
Those applying for a state pension forecast statement currently face around a three month wait for one to be issued.
The treasury minister says in the 2025/26 tax year, the income tax division issued a total of 2,291 statements, and as of 13 May this year, there are 536 applications awaiting processing.
In Tynwald, Treasury Minister Chris Thomas confirmed the target is for all those forecast applications to be processed within three months, by the end of July 2026.
Mr Thomas confirmed a new national insurance system is currently in development, scheduled to be rolled out towards the end of this year, which would automate the process.
He added the interest in such documents has amplified in recent years:
Mr Thomas also cited the improvement in processing time since February 2024, when it was reported it could take up to nine months for one to be produced.
