Comes ahead of no confidence motion against Alf Cannan
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas has thrown his hat in the ring to be the Island's next chief minister.
It comes ahead of a motion of 'no confidence' in Alf Cannan being brought to the House of Keys next week (Tuesday 29 October).
Since being sacked from his ministerial role last year, Mr Thomas has formed a 'rebel alliance' with two other colleagues - Onchan's Julie Edge and Douglas South member Claire Christian.
He says now is the time for change:
