Two vacancies remain in upper house of Manx parliament
Nominations will close this afternoon (Friday) ahead of the next round of voting for the Legislative Council.
Two vacancies remain in the upper house of the Manx parliament following last month’s stalemate.
A third special sitting of the House of Keys will be held on June the 22nd to try and fill the berths.
Speaker Steve Rodan last month told colleagues if the vacancies are not filled, he will call a further sitting in August and members will have to break off from their summer recess to attend.
Successful candidates need to gain at least 13 votes to be elected.
