A third candidate has declared their intention to stand in Arbory, Castletown and Malew in September's General Election.

Jeroen Wats is the CEO of ExoTechnologies, a company that works with sustainable and recyclable material.

He says, if elected, his focus will be on supporting a strong local economy, ensuring a sustainable and affordable energy future and protecting the qualities that make our community such a special place to live.

"I believe effective representation starts with being visible, accessible and engaged with the people we serve. Politics works best when it is connected to our towns, villages, sports clubs, businesses and community organisations."

Also standing in Arbory, Castletown and Malew are Mark Firth and Kirrie Jenkins.

The election is taking place on Thursday 24 September.
