The 'greenness' of a trial kerbside collection scheme in the Isle of Man is being questioned by the chairman of one of the local authorities involved.
The scheme was introduced in Douglas, Onchan and Braddan almost two years ago as a three-year trial.
The chairman of Onchan Commissioners is wondering how environmentally friendly the scheme really is, and claims it has had a big impact on the incinerator (first part of audio file):
But Friends of the Earth Isle of Man's Phil Corlett believes the scheme is still valid (second part of audio file):
'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
