Temporary road closure on the mountain extended 

There's been an extension to the temporary road closure on the Mountain until next Thursday (23 October). 

It's as drainage and carriageway improvements have been carried out from Keppel Gate to Kate's Cottage. 

The Infrastructure Department says due to the nature of the Mountain Road, it's essential that central double white lines, edge markings, and edge of road reflective studs are in place before traffic can safely return. 

The installation of this was planned for the weekend but could not be completed due to logistical constraints.

Access to the Creg ny Baa is accessible from Douglas via Hillberry and from Laxey via the Creg Ny Baa Back Road.

Meanwhile, The Victory Café can be accessed from Ramsey via the Mountain Road, from Sulby via the Tholt y Will Road, or from the West and Douglas via the Beinn Y Phott Road.
