Police are asking parents to check on their children's whereabouts at all times
Teenagers have admitted to a spate of bike thefts in Castletown.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says it received calls about the thefts and vehicles that had been moved without the owners’ consent.
Upon investigation, officers identified 'several suspects' who admitted to the offences.
However the team says it's concerned as the suspects were all in their early teens and were out in the early hours of the morning.
"Their parents were very, very supportive of Police action but had been unaware they had left the house due to some innovative methods to escape detection.
"This raises the question, Do you really know where your child is? And more importantly, do you know what they are doing?"
Parents are advised to check on their children’s whereabouts at all times.
