Inquest opened and adjourned at Douglas courthouse
An inquest's heard the body of a teenage boy from the south of the Island was discovered in a car park in Douglas.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes formally opened the hearing into the death of Thomas Daniel Young at Douglas courthouse.
The court heard nineteen-year-old Mr Young, known as Tom, lived at Glen Road in Colby.
His body was discovered on 20 June.
Mr Young, a student, was identified by a police officer after his body was discovered in the Nunnery Mills Car Park on the Old Castletown Road.
Consultant pathologist at Noble's Hospital, Dr Ervine Long, carried out a post-mortem examination and told the court Mr Young had died from asphyxiation.
Mrs Hughes offered her condolences to Mr Young's family and friends.
She adjourned the case until a date to be fixed.
