Eighteen-year-old also accused of provoking behaviour
A man will appear in court in August after admitting using a hammer to damage his mum's front door.
Eighteen-year-old Lee Benjamin Vanner of no fixed address appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse via a live video link.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage and one of provoking behaviour.
Prosecution advocate Roger Kane said the incident happened outside his mother's home on Westbourne Road in Ramsey on 18 June.
Mr Kane offered no evidence on a further charge of possessing an offensive weapon, saying Vanner accepted he'd had the hammer but denied he was going to use it as a weapon.
The court heard the teenager later damaged the cage inside a police van following his arrest.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 on condition he lives at Tromode House and doesn't enter Westbourne Road.
He's due to appear again for sentencing on 11 August.
