Changes made following Steve Mercer incident in 2018
It's hoped increased use of technology will help make policing closed roads safer in the future.
The Isle of Man Constabulary made a number of changes ahead of TT 2019, following the incident involving a course car and road racer Steve Mercer the year before.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts sought assurances his officers would be safe ahead of this year's races.
He's keen to see new innovations used alongside the police in the future:
Meningitis B vaccination scheme to be rolled out on-Island
Balthane Roundabout plans on hold until 2027/28 as costs rise
Port St Mary lifeboat launched to rescue stricken fishing vessel
Enquiries ongoing after 'shotgun-like sound' heard near Police Headquarters
