Doesn't want public voting for leader
The Island's treasury minister says he'd rather 'die in a ditch' than see a publicly elected chief minister.
Michael MHK Alfred Cannan wants to stop legislative council members having a vote on the Island's political leader.
That sparked a debate in the House of Keys this week - with a suggestion a publicly elected chief minister would be the most democratic process.
But Mr Teare says he would strongly oppose this:
Storm Dave to bring severe gales
Manx Care 'attempting to establish contact' with dental provider as patients face uncertainty
'Significant dredging works' in Douglas Harbour
'Operational reasons' and tidal restrictions delay Heysham sailing schedule
