By-election decided in Lonan
Garff has two new commissioners this morning (15 June).
Lecturer Tim Kenyon topped the contest at a by-election in Lonan yesterday, polling 200 votes.
He was followed by company director Stewart Clague who received 177 votes.
Teacher Melanie Christian, who was unsuccessful, gained 138.
Both men will now serve on the local authority board until April 2020.
The turnout was 28.5%.
