65-year-old accused of causing death of Douglas woman
A Douglas taxi driver who's accused of causing the death of a Douglas woman has also been charged with perverting the course of justice.
65-year-old David Evans, of Tynwald Street, appeared at Douglas Courthouse via live video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
He's been charged with causing the death of 73-year-old Carolyn Buchan by careless or inconsiderate driving, on Marathon Avenue, on 20 March.
He also stands accused of failing to stop at, or report, an accident.
Today a further charge of committing an act against public justice – on or about 23 March - was laid before the court.
Magistrates granted a four week adjournment, there was no application for bail and Mr Evans was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 5 May.
