Don't cold call on the Isle of Man, it's illegal - the reminder from the Office of Fair Trading after receiving reports of tradesmen doorstepping residents.
They've been offering tarmacking services saying they've been employed by a local company, and have materials left over from jobs.
The OFT says that doesn't appear to be true.
Anyone who has an experience like that is asked to report it to authorities by calling 686500.
